Made from full-grain goatskin in the leather workshops of Fes, the 21 x 12 in (53 x 30 cm) round pouf carries a hand-embroidered eight-pointed star across its top panel — a geometric motif rooted in Moroccan design tradition, worked in tonal thread so it reads as relief rather than contrast. Each pouf is hand-cut and hand-stitched; slight colour variation between panels is a natural characteristic of hand-dyed leather, not a defect.

Care
Dust with a dry cloth. Wipe spills straight away with a barely damp cloth and let it air-dry away from direct heat — do not use soap or solvent on hand-dyed leather.
Treat with a neutral leather conditioner once or twice a year to keep the hide supple. Keep the pouf out of prolonged direct sunlight, which will fade the dye over time.
If the pouf softens after months of use, open the base zip and top up the filling rather than replacing it.

Every panel is cut to a template by hand and joined with a saddle stitch that passes through both layers of leather. It is slow work, and it is the reason the seams outlast the hide.
Materials
Full-grain goatskin, embroidered by hand
Goat hide is used because it stays supple under body weight instead of stiffening. The star medallion on the top panel is embroidered stitch by stitch over a template, which is why no two poufs line up identically.
