Description
A dome-shaped pendant shade woven from natural straw, left shaggy at the lower edge so loose fibres fall free rather than being trimmed flush.
Construction
Lit, the weave glows warm and gold; unlit, it reads as a piece of natural texture on its own. Looks equally at home hung singly over a bed or entry table, or clustered at different heights.
About the weave
A few loose strands at the fringe or surface is normal on a handwoven natural-fibre shade and can be trimmed with scissors if you prefer a neater edge. Keep it out of prolonged direct sunlight, which will dry and pale the fibre over time.
Care
Dust with a dry, soft brush or the brush attachment on a vacuum, on a low setting. Keep it dry — natural fibre should not be washed, soaked or wiped with a damp cloth.

Woven strand by strand over a frame
Each shade is built by hand around a wire frame, one strand of natural fibre at a time. The weave is never perfectly even by design — that irregularity is what gives the light its texture, scattering it in bands rather than a flat, even glow.
Materials
Natural fibre, left undyed
The fibre is left in its natural colour rather than dyed or lacquered, so tone varies a little from batch to batch and will mellow further with age and light exposure. Wired for a standard E26 bulb, which is not included.
