Description
A round floor pouf hand-cut and hand-stitched in Marrakech from full-grain goat leather, hand-dyed to a warm bubblegum pink. A burgundy mandala is embroidered across the top panel, with radiating seams tracing scalloped panels from the centre down to the base. At 21 x 12 in (53 x 30 cm) it sits naturally beside a sofa, at the foot of a bed, or as a low surface for a tea tray.

Construction
- Burgundy mandala embroidery: a geometric starburst worked by hand into the top panel, with radiating panel stitching running across the body.
- Full-grain goat leather: supple enough to yield gently under weight, durable enough for daily use.
- Zippered base: a concealed zipper lets you fill it, firm it up, or refill it years later.
- Natural variation: the leather is hand-dyed, so tone shifts slightly between panels and from the photographs. That is the mark of the craft, not a fault.
- Weight capacity: holds an adult comfortably once firmly filled.
Filled or unfilled
Choose Unfilled and it ships flat, which cuts freight cost considerably — fill it at home with shredded foam, fabric offcuts or old clothes. Loose polyfill and feathers are not recommended; they settle and the pouf loses its shape. Choose Filled and it arrives ready to sit on.
Care
Dust with a dry cloth. Blot spills straight away with a barely damp cloth and let it air-dry away from direct heat. Apply a neutral leather conditioner once or twice a year. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight, which fades the dye.
About the craft
Moroccan leather poufs are still made by hand in the souk workshops — skins tanned traditionally, panels cut by eye, seams closed with a needle rather than a machine. Karchel buys direct from the artisans who make them and ships from Morocco.
