Description
The open-back babouche slipper has been made in Morocco's tanneries for generations, cut from soft goat leather that molds to the foot with wear. Colors come from traditional vegetable dyes — saffron for yellow, mint for green, poppy for red, indigo for blue, henna for orange and cedar for brown. Each pair arrives in an organza drawstring pouch.
Details: Material: goat leather, vegetable-dyed.
Care: Wipe with a dry cloth; avoid prolonged moisture.

About the making
Where a piece is handmade, the product description says so and names the material and technique. Handmade work varies a little from piece to piece in colour, size and pattern — that variation is a property of the craft, not a fault.
Fitness and Pilates equipment is manufactured, and labelled that way. Those pages list dimensions, rated capacity, materials and warranty in full so you can compare before you buy.
