Each round pouf is cut and stitched by hand — the plain, unembroidered surface lets the warm tan leather and visible panel seams speak for themselves.
Construction & dimensions
- Round shape: 12 size options from 14 to 60 in diameter. The two smallest stand 14 and 16 in tall; every size from 18 in upward stands 18 in (46 cm) tall — a low seat, a footrest, or a tray-topped side table.
- Full-grain goat leather: supple yet durable; natural grain variations and slight tonal shifts between panels are a mark of hand-dyed, hand-cut work, not a defect.
- Plain surface with hand-stitched panel seams: no embroidery or stamped pattern — clean geometric panel lines trace the construction.
- Concealed zipper base: fill and refill at home without visible hardware.
- Made to order in small batches: please allow 5–7 business days for production before shipping.

Filled or unfilled
Choose Filled and it arrives ready to use. Choose Unfilled and it ships flat, which lowers freight cost considerably on the larger diameters — fill it at home with shredded foam, recycled fabric scraps, or densely packed old clothing. Avoid loose polyfill or feathers, which compress and let the ottoman lose its shape.
Care
Dust with a dry cloth. Wipe spills immediately with a barely damp cloth and let it air-dry away from direct heat. Treat with a neutral leather conditioner once or twice a year. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight, which will fade the dye.

The panels are cut by hand to a template and joined with a tight blanket stitch — a traditional technique where the thread loops over the seam edge to lock the panels together. Karchel buys direct from the artisans who make them and ships from Morocco.

Cut by hand, closed with a needle
Every panel is cut to a template by hand and joined with a saddle stitch that passes through both layers of leather. It is slow work, and it is the reason the seams outlast the hide.
Materials
Full-grain goatskin, embroidered by hand
Goat hide is used because it stays supple under body weight instead of stiffening. The star medallion on the top panel is embroidered stitch by stitch over a template, which is why no two poufs line up identically.
