Description
A round floor pouf in deep chocolate full-grain leather, hand-cut and hand-stitched in Fes. This one is left plain — no embroidery, no contrast thread. The panels are joined with recessed seams in the same tone as the hide, so the shape and the grain do the work. The darker dye hides marks far better than a natural or pale pouf, which makes it the one to choose for a busy room. Measures 21 x 12 in (53 x 30 cm).
Construction
- Plain panelled surface: no embroidered medallion and no cream whipstitch — the seams sit in the same tone as the leather, giving a quieter, more modern piece than the classic embroidered pouf.
- Full-grain leather: the outermost layer of the hide, so the natural grain stays visible and the surface develops a patina rather than wearing through.
- Forgiving in daily use: the deep dye disguises scuffs and marks that show immediately on natural or pale leather.
- Zippered base: fill it, firm it up, or refill it years later.
- Natural variation: tone shifts slightly between panels. That is characteristic of hand-dyed leather, not a fault.
Filled or unfilled
Choose Unfilled and it ships flat, which cuts freight cost considerably — fill it at home with shredded foam, fabric offcuts or old clothes. Loose polyfill and feathers are not recommended; they settle and the pouf loses its shape. Choose Filled and it arrives ready to sit on.
Care
Dust with a dry cloth. Blot spills straight away with a barely damp cloth and let it air-dry away from direct heat. Apply a neutral leather conditioner once or twice a year. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight, which fades the dye.

Cut by hand, closed with a needle
Every panel is cut to a template by hand and joined with a saddle stitch that passes through both layers of leather. It is slow work, and it is the reason the seams outlast the hide.
Materials
Full-grain goatskin, embroidered by hand
Goat hide is used because it stays supple under body weight instead of stiffening. The star medallion on the top panel is embroidered stitch by stitch over a template, which is why no two poufs line up identically.
